2023 Tournament Mechanics and Ballots

If you hover your cursor over the upper-right corner of any ballot, you will see a square with an arrow pointing through the top-right corner. Click on this for downloading / printing options.

Even though she has now joined the high school ranks, I would still like to extend my gratitude to Katie Okenquist, who toiled for many years to formate and update these ballots. A million thanks to Carl Stafford, who patiently fielded a million questions about Congressional Debate, and who created the docket. You're the best, Carl!

Note for users: The Tournament Mechanics appear first, followed by all IEs in alphabetical order by code, followed by Lip Synch, and then the Congressional Debate docket and ballot, and finally the Public Forum debate ballot.

How to Train a Judge

With a special tip of the hat to Leigh Anne, I wanted to share NSDA's detailed and helpful resources for walking volunteers through the judging process. Find them HERE. With videos and guides to each specific event, this is a great place for any prospective judge to start.

As I'm sure we know all too well, the quality of the tournaments we host and attend often hinges on the knowledge of the people kind enough to judge them.

Hopefully, with thorough and practical tips like these, our volunteers will help make Friday evenings as smooth as possible.

Thanks, Leigh Anne!
